During the Milan Fashion Week, Prada presented us the new spring/summer 2011 collection. Summarized in three words it would be minimalism, baroque and drawings.
It is actually the ninth edition of Prada Real Fantasies collection inspired by the baroque style and where animations were used. This is a return of colours in fashion after the darkness of the economic crisis.
A part of this new collection was a collection of sunglasses named “Minimal-Baroque” - edition of just 500 pieces. Instead of using a photo campaign, illustrations of Ivo Bisignano, Andrea Tarella and Marcel Gutierrez were used. A lot of celebrities have already fallen in love with these sunglasses. For example Anna Dello Russo - editor at large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan. And one of the most famous bloggers in the world Bryanboy, who was wearing the sunglasses during several European fashion weeks.
Prada also presents us two fancy mini films:
Prada Spring/Summer 2011 Video Campaign
This video is full of famous faces, authentical dances and fancy colours. The collection is full of simplicity and strips too.
Real Fantasies SS11
This video seems like a movie collage, directed by James Lima, shows a giant sombrero decorated with bright ribbons, neon scarves, pied printings.
As you can see the baroque style is here again! It's incredibly inspirational art work is now in fashion!
Enjoy the new Prada mini films and let us know what do you think of it. Share your opinion now!

410 days agoNo to the Smock Dresses. That's just me. Wow! Colorful! The alternating and complete run of the color spectrum is something else. The video of Spring/Summer gives me a headache. Too fast. Real Fantasies is easier to digest.
